Wooden Cooling Towers are robust, large-capacity cooling systems constructed from pressure-treated timber for durability and long service life. Designed in both cross flow and counter flow configurations.

This rugged wooden cooling tower is designed as a heavy-duty system, incorporating a multi-blade cast aluminum adjustable pitch fan assembly driven by a special T.E., IP-55 protected geared motor with low RPM and high air discharge capacity. The tower’s structural and supporting sections are made of HDG steel, secured with stainless steel fasteners, making it suitable for hot, humid, and harsh industrial environments. Standard cladding consists of corrugated asbestos cement sheets with lapped joints to minimize water spillage, while the treated wooden splash bars, supported on FRP grids, ensure proper fill positioning. These splash bars are manufactured from imported pine wood that is chemically treated to resist fungal and algae growth. The design accommodates water with very high TDS levels, ensuring consistent performance. Hot water from the source is directed to a collection basin equipped with flower pot nozzles, which uniformly spray water over the fill area. Simultaneously, induced draft airflow passes through the fill media, enabling evaporation and efficient heat removal. The resulting warm, moist air is discharged through the fan deck into the atmosphere, while the cooled water is collected in an RCC sump and recirculated back to the heat source. This induced draft cross flow mechanism ensures high efficiency, durability, and reliable cooling for demanding industrial applications.
